English

One of the most important apocryphic works of the Second Temple Period is Enoch. According to the biblical narrative (Genesis 5:21-24), Enoch lived only 365 years (far less than the other patriarchs in the period before the Flood). Enoch "walked with God; then he was no more for God took him."

The original language of most of this work was, in all likelihood, Aramaic (an early Semitic language). Although the original version was lost in antiquity, portions of a Greek translation were discovered in Egypt and quotations were known from the Church Fathers. The discovery of the texts from Qumran Cave 4 has finally provided parts of the Aramaic original. In the fragment exhibited here, humankind is called on to observe how unchanging nature follows God's will.

Una dintre cele mai importante lucrari ale apocrife din perioada celui de-al 

doilea Templu, este"Sulul lui Enoh". În conformitate cu naraţiunea biblică  

(Geneza 5:21-24), Enoh a trăit numai 365 de ani (mult mai puţin decât ceilalţi patriarhi  

în perioada înainte de potop). Enoh "a umblat cu Dumnezeu, apoi nu a mai fost  

pentru că Dumnezeu la luat."
 

Limba de origine a sulului şi a scrierii a fost, după toate probabilităţile paleo-ebraică 

(protosinaitic) rescrisă în , aramaică (o limba semitica timpurie). Deşi versiunea 

originală a fost pierdut în antichitate,sau păstrat porţiuni dintr-o  traducere greacă şi 

armaică-nabateeană

Manuascrise traduse au fost descoperite în Egipt şi copiile traduse ale scribilor , au 

fost cunoscute de  Sfinţii Părinţi ai Biericii primare.Descoperirea a textelor din pestera  

4 Qumran de aici  indicativul Q4 [ Qumran-cave 4]  , a oferit în cele din urmă părţi ale  

originale aramaică. În fragmentul prezentat aici, omenirea este chemată pentru a  

observa modul în care natura neschimbătoare urmează voia lui Dumnezeu.

15. şi să-i înveţe şi vrăjitoriei [vrăji şi de tăiere de rădăcini, şi să le îi obişnuiască zilnic  

cu plante otrăvitoare şi narcotice.]
